Grand Keena “Keena” Female born 4/04
Hips OFA fair
Sire: Sam Sam is an import from Ireland, and is a son of Dowdalls “Dell.” Dell produced 9 dogs who competed on the Irish National Team. Sam’s sire was 8th place in the 1998 Int. Supreme Championships. Dam: Imported Sue. Sue is an import from Ireland, and is by the legendary sire Aled Owens Bob, who was the 2002 World Sheepdog Trials Champion, 2000 and 2004 Res Welsh Champion, 2000 Int. Farmers Champion, and 2000 Int. Supreme Champion. Keena had to take a hiatus from agility after having surgery for a broken foot. She was only one leg away from her excellent standard title too!. After 10 weeks in a cast, she will need some time to heal, but I am hopeful she will be competing again in the near future. Keena is a very special little peanut. She is very loyal to mom, and sweet, sweet, sweet. She is soft and responsive, and never wants to be wrong. Keena is our first pick to grab when we need to move the sheep from one place to another, she is easy to work with, yet has a strong herding drive. Keena loves to run agility, and every time she stops on a contact, her tail is wagging nonstop. She is easy to run, and fast too. She loves to play with any type of toy there is and she will entertain herself, by throwing them to herself. Keena is very active and always makes me laugh, but also has a great turn off switch and is always the first one to want to curl up in my lap in the evening in front of the TV. Keena can be standoffish to new people especially men or people who are loud and intimidating, but once she decides she likes you, you have won over her heart forever. For such a little girlie, she has made a big impact in our lives. | ||||
